How Senator Ishaku Abbo’s Criticism Of The APC Muslim-Muslim Ticket Led To His Sacking
My investigation into the circumstances surrounding the removal of Senator Ishaku Abbo as the Adamawa North Senatorial candidate led to an interesting fact. It was mainly about APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Reports emerged on the 10th of January 2022 that controversial Ishaku Abbo has been sacked as the APC senatorial candidate for Adamawa North, following his expulsion by his ward.
My findings revealed that prior to the approval of his sacking by a high court in Yola, the senator had been expelled by APC ward in Mubi LGA of the state.
Why Was Senator Ishaku Expelled?
According to DAILY POST, Ishaku Abbo had been expelled from the party by members of 2 different wards, after being accused of wrong doings
due to his persistent condemnation of the party’s Duo Muslim ticket
It was reported that 2 APC members namely: Abdullahi Suleiman and Yusha’u Usman of Kolere and Sabon Layi wards of Mubi North LGA sued the senator and waited for court’s interpretation on his membership status after the expulsion.
The named members, through their counsel had prayed to the high court in Yola that Senator Ishaku cannot be declared the candidate of Adamawa North senatorial zone, in the forthcoming election.
