JAMB 2018 – How to register step by step guide

JAMB 2018 registration has commenced as directed by the regulating body – Joint Admission and Matriculation Board and according to them, the exercise will last until February 6 when it will be closed for registration.
Therefore, this article is aimed at informing prospective candidates, parents and guardians on the processes involved in securing the JAMB 2018 form and how to register for JAMB 2018 without ease.

JAMB 2018 Registration Procedure

STEP 1-
The first step in getting registered for JAMB 2018 is to create a mobile confirmation code with your mobile GSM phone. To do this, send a short message (SMS) containing your “Surname Firstname Othername” to 55019. You will charge fifty naira ( #50) for the SMS.

STEP 2
Proceed with your confirmation code to the bank (UBA , Firstbank, Union bank etc) to buy the JAMB E-pin. When you get to the bank, ask for instruction and guide from the bank’s customer care unit and present the confirmation code you received from JAMB in STEP 1 above as the bank will need it to generate your E-pin.
STEP 3
Now that you have purchased the JAMB E-pin, you can go to any JAMB CBT registered center close to you where you will provide your O’level result, JAMB E-pin, your confirmation code, and your passport (they may also use their webcam to snap you).
STEP 4-
After you have successfully registered for the JAMB 2018, you will be given a print out of the JAMB registration and also the compulsory storybook that is required for the use of English paper.

You should also note that everything will cost you #6200 only.

The breakdown-

  • JAMB E-pin = 5,000
  • Storybook = 500
  • CBT Registration = 700
You should also know that the phone number you will use for recieving the confirmation code must have not been used to register for JAMB before. It must be new to JAMB.
