Like the popular saying, “Whatever has a beginning definitely would have an end,” Simi’s time at renowned record label; X3M music has come to an end.
The news hit the internet at sunset on the 1st of May, 2019 to a mixed reaction from music fans.
The record label made the announcement of the departure of the singer after her recording contract expired without both parties being able to agree for a contract extension in a statement signed by their A&R executive; Vincent Nwanze.
“We only sign artistes that we love and believe in. We know our taste in music is rather different; but we only sign talents who meet that taste.
“Fortunately, we have been able to find millions of music lovers here and abroad, who share similar tastes, as is evident in the success of all the artistes we have worked with, including Simi who is without any doubt one of the biggest music talents in the country today…”
Simi became a household name in music as a result of her working relationship with X3M, she was able to achieve superstardom under the guidance of the label where she released two albums, “Simisola” in 2017 and her recently dropped “Omo Charlie Champagne
