In his effort to bring succour to traders in Adamawa, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Thursday, ordered for fifty percent deduction of shop rates at the Jimeta Ultramodern Market.
The Governor gave the order while presiding over the sixth and last session of the ministerial briefing at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Yola.
The Governor has also ordered for thorough verification of payment status of shops in the market by next week for necessary action by the government.
He also directed that a memo should be written through the office of the secretary to the state government SSG for consideration of whether to transfer the local apprenticeship skill LAS from the SSG’s office to the ministry of commerce and industry.
The Governor urged the permanent secretaries to go and work in the areas they have challenges to enable the present administration address them for the development of the state.
In his presentation, the permanent secretary ministry of Culture and Tourism Mr. Titus Adamu appealed to the state government to upgrade the Art Council to an institution of Arts and Culture.
Other Permanent Secretaries who also made presentations included that of ministries of Commerce and Industry, Trade and Investment and that of Transportation.
