Gov. Fintir assures his administration will collaborate with traditional rulers

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has on Monday assured that his administration will collaborate with traditional rulers in the state to ensure lasting peace and better security of Adamawa.
The Governor gave the assurance when he received First Class Emirs and Chiefs led by Lamido Adamawa Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa on a congratulatory visit at the Council Chamber Government House, Yola.
Governor Umaru Fintiri revealed that very soon the state government will engage traditional rulers and other stakeholders in designing security architecture of the state for lasting peace and security.
He explained that he will respect the traditional institutions in the state adding that the present government will carry them along towards actualizing its eleven point agenda for the development of Adamawa.
In his remark, Lamido Adamawa Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa who spoke on behalf traditional rulers explained that the aim of the visit was to congratulate the Governor on his assumption into state.
Doctor Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa said traditional rulers as custodians of culture and tradition, has been supportive any government that comes on board since colonial era for the overall interest and development of the state.
Lamido Adamawa reiterated that the traditional rulers are ever ready to give meaningful advice that will enable the state government to achieve the full implementation of its change mantra.
The Lamido prayed to God to guide the new administration and grants peace and tranquillity in the state.
Highlight of the visit was a group photographs of the Governor and the traditional rulers.
