The Adamawa State election petition tribunal sitting in Yola has dismissed a petition filed by senator Abubakar Mo’Allahyidi, the candidate of APC in the February 2019 senatorial election in Adamawa South senatorial zone.
MoAllahyidi has approached the tribunal challenging the victory of Senator Binos Yaroe in the election.
Delivering the ruling on Wednesday, the lead Judge, Justice S B Akanbi said the petitioner, failed to produce sufficient evidence to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt prompting him to dismiss the case for lack of merit.
The petitioner had earlier alleged that the respondent was not duly elected saying the election that brought him was marred by irregularities.
