ADHA GIVES KUDOS TO GOV FINTIRI FOR QUICK RESPONSE ON PRAMBE ATTACK


Satisfied with his quick response to issues affecting humanity, the Adamawa State House of Assembly has given kudos to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his timely intervention in the recent attack on Prambe, a community in Song Local Government Area.
The quick intervention by the Governor had averted further escalation of the attack; thereby, bringing and end to the incident.
However, the Legislators commended the effort made by the Member Representing Song Constituency, Hon. Simon Isa, Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and other stakeholders in Song LGA towards bringing about peace in the area.
The commendation by the lawmakers was sequel to a matter of urgent public importance sponsored by Hon. Simon Isa( Song) at the resumed plenary session of State House of Assembly presided over by its Speaker, Rt.Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas today.
Speaking earlier while moving the motion, Hon. Simon briefed the house on the attack on Prambe about 2 days ago, and urged his colleagues to support him in appealing to executive arm and relevant agencies to come to the aid of the victims, deploy security agencies to safeguard the area, constitute peace committee to create forums for dialogue to forestall reoccurrence.
Hon. Simon, specifically thanked the Governor, Secretary of the PDP and other stakeholders for their efforts in bringing about peace in the area.
Also, speaking on the motion, Hon. Abubakar Isa(Shelleng) said the Governor had during his swearing in promised to address insecurity challenges, and urged him to continue to prioritise the issue of security for peace and stability.
Several other legislators who spoke on the motion, expressed satisfaction with the quick intervention, and asked the executive to strive hard in order to protect lives and property of the citizens.
