FINTIRI COMMENDS AIR FORCE FOR CURTAILING INSECURITY
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has commended the efforts of the Air Force Personnel in making sure that relative peace is enjoyed in Adamawa and the North East in general.
Governor Fintiri made the commendation at the Air Force Base Yola at a special launch as part of sallah celebration organized for air men and women in recognition their contributions in securing the country.
He vowed that as the Chief Security Officer of the state, he will leave no stone unturned in complementing the efforts of the Air Force personnel to reduce criminal activities in the state.
He pledged his administration's plan to extend its developmental programmes to Barracks/Base in the state, especially in the areas of education and infrastructure among others.
Speaking earlier, the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, said that the programme was aimed at celebrating the festive season with the personnel and noted with satisfaction the substantial security progress made so far in the state.
The Chief of Air Staff described the performance of the Air Force Personnel as tremendous and urged them to continue to work harder to ensure that the country and it's people are well secured.
He added that as part of efforts to bring security closer to the people, the Air Force has established service units in some parts of the country to ensure quick response to security issues.
He commended the Muhammadu Buhari led administration for the acquisition of new aircrafts for the Air Force and providing training opportunities for enhanced security service delivery.
