Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), showed up on Thursday to observe hearings in the petition he filed disputing the results of the 2023 presidential election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is being challenged as the victor of the presidential election, and Atiku and his party are requesting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revoke Tinubu's Certificate of Return.
The petition's pre-hearing proceeding was to go on before the five-person panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani.
In an earlier application, Atiku requested live coverage of the daily hearings related to his petition.
Around 8:35 a.m., he and his supporters—among them Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP's candidate for governor in the next election in Kogi State—arrived at the courthouse.
